Gateway Antenna - DT01A
The DigiSmart™ Antenna mounts inside the Amana® DigiSmart PTAC, hidden from sight. It is powered through the PTAC and requires no batteries. The antenna is required to connect the DigiSuite radio frequence (RF) wireless devices to the Amana® DigiSmart PTAC. The antenna communicates to the Amana DigiSmart suite of devices via an encrypted 2.4 Ghz signal using the 802.15.4 standard. Some Amana® DigiSmart PTACs may require software upgrades to the latest version of the DigiSmart controller software to allow RF wireless devices to be linked to the antenna. For use with: For more information please see: |
Remote Theromostat - DS01B
The DigiSmart™ Remote Thermostat can control the Amana® DigiSmart PTAC from anywhere in the room. It is powered by 2 AAA batteries included in the kit. The thermostat communicates with the PTAC through a two-way encrypted radio frequency (RF) signal. PTAC settings can be changed at either the unit or the thermostat. Changes are automatically relayed to the other device within moments. The antenna communicates to the Amana® DigiSmart suite of devices via an encrypted 2.4 Ghz signal using the 802.15.4 standard. For the remote thermostat to operate, the in-room PTAC must be equipped with a DigiSmart gateway antenna. For more information please see: |
Occupancy Sensor - DD01B
The occupancy sensor is a combination doorswitch and room motion sensor powered by 2 AAA batteries that are included in the kit. Once wirelessly linked to Amana® DigiSmart™ PTAC, the occupancy sensor monitors the room. When the room is unoccupied, the sensor automatically activates the temperature set-back function on the in-room PTAC. The setback function is a part of the DigiSmart standard Energy Management System (EMS) in the DigiSmart PTAC control board. The DigiSmart EMS software can be set in up to 100,000 set-back combinations to maximize energy savings and is programmed through either the remote thermostat or the platform controller. The sensor communicates to the Amana DigiSmart suite of devices via an encrypted 2.4 Ghz signal using the 802.15.4 standard. For the door sensor to operate, the in-room PTAC must be equipped with a DigiSmart gateway antenna. For more information please see: |
How PTAC accessories work in the Guest Room?
The Occupancy Sensor detects if the room is occupied with an infrared sensor. If the room is occupied, the PTAC operates normally. If the room is unoccupied, after a fixed period of time sensor signals the PTAC to go into a 'set-back' mode. This 'set-back' adjusts room temperature to reduce unit energy consumption. The property owner can change both the time until set-back and the set-back temperature. The Remote Thermostat operates just like the thermostat in the guest's house, making them feel more at home. It also can be used to program the DigiSmart™ PTAC. And unlike other PTACs, the remote thermostat and the unit control operate simultaneous and echo each other. Change the temperature setting on the remote and the same change will appear on the PTAC. All Amana® DigiSmart™ PTACs come fully equipped with all the software and processing power needed to run the DigiSmart energy management software. When the Gateway Antenna is added, the PTAC can be linked to the Occupancy Sensor and Remote Thermostat by the click of a button on each unit. And the PTAC will communicate with the Platform Controller and property front desk. |
Platform Controller - DL01E
E-Z Link Controller DL01E The DigiSmart® E-Z Link Controller uses 115V and communicates via antenna to each Amana brand DigiSmart PTAC equipped with a gateway antenna. All of the DigiSmart suite of products linked to a DigiSmart PTAC can be monitored, controlled, and upgraded easily through the DigiSmart wireless network. All functions are accessed through a secure and unique website for each location, which provides control of the DigiSmart Energy Management System from any Internet-connected computer. The controller comes with the ability to connect to property management systems to monitor room rental status. Not all software supported.

Control Board Upgrade Kit - DSUK01B
Any Amana® brand Series A or Series B PTAC produced since 1996 can be upgraded with a DigiSmart™ control board. The DSUK01B is a field installation kit to convert older 'knob control' Amana PTACs to the DigiSmart LED control. The upgrade control board kit contains the same energy management system (EMS) software as a new DigiSmart PTAC and can connect to the DigiSmart suite of devices.
